Kirsten Ervin is a modern day folk artist focused on building community and promoting joy.

Her mass portraits capture diverse communities, most recently the Pittsburgh Passenger Project at the Pittsburgh International Airport. Kirsten will launch a similar portrait project, East Liberty Look & Listen in the Futuremakers Residency at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater in the summer of 2019. An arts educator, Kirsten specializes in creating accessible art making opportunities for artists of all ages and abilities. She is a member of the Fiber Arts Guild of Pittsburgh, the Puppetry Guild of Pittsburgh and Group A.
